Memorial Gallery for Artist P.J. Dean
WOODRIVER CELLARS’ ANNOUNCES SPECIAL MONTHLY GALLERY PROGRAM MEMORIAL EVENT FOR ARTIST KNOWN AS “P.J. DEAN”
Boise Artist Phillip Dean Jarski’s Life to be Celebrated With “Last Show” Exhibit Debut at Woodriver Cellars Tasting Room This Coming Friday, July 10th
Eagle, Idaho, July 6, 2009 – Woodriver Cellars (www.woodrivercellars.com) will host artist Phillip Dean Jarski’s “last show” at its Monthly Gallery Exhibit this coming Friday in the winery’s Tasting Room. Jarski and artist April Hoff were selected to be featured by Woodriver Cellars from hundreds of Idaho artists. Sadly, since that selection process took place, Phillip passed away due to complications from diabetes. Jarski’s family has decided to treat this exhibit as a “last show” to honor Mr. Jarski, “PJ Dean”, who was 36 years old when he died. Woodriver Cellars joins the Jarski family in inviting the Idaho art community and the public at large to come to the winery Tasting Room on Friday, July 10th to view samples of Phillip’s unique artwork. Phillip, known as “P.J. Dean” to most of the art world, was best known for his lovely and intricate style that brought both reflection and humor to his work. Many have commented that the Idaho art community has lost one of its rising young stars with the passing of Phillip Dean Jarski.
“The family of Phillip Jarski would like to extend an invitation to the community to view his ‘last show’,” Patty Jarski, Phillip’s mother, stated. “His art is a treasure to be viewed (not sold) at this time. It is our desire to honor Phillip’s last wishes by having this show. It was already scheduled before his untimely passing. We hope his art will touch you as it has us.”
“We are saddened that Phillip will not be with us at this exhibit of his work,” Woodriver Cellars’ owner Dave Buich began. “It is an honor to participate in this memorial show and to help his family fulfill his request. His work will continue his legacy even after his passing.”
