Woodriver Cellars Partners with Idaho Cutting Horse Association
WOODRIVER CELLARS WINERY PARTNERS WITH IDAHO CUTTING HORSE ASSOCIATION AS IDAHO CENTER EVENT SPONSOR
Treasure Valley Winery Also Set to Produce Exclusive, Distinguished Line of “Gold Buckle” Wines Exclusively for ICHA
Eagle, Idaho, August 24, 2009 – Woodriver Cellars (www.woodrivercellars.com) today announced officially that it will participate as a sponsor for the upcoming Idaho Cutting Horse Association (ICHA) event which will be held September 1st through September 8th at the Idaho Center in Nampa. Woodriver Cellars will be the exclusive wine vendor at the event. Woodriver Cellars and the ICHA will also be introducing two exclusive, superior quality wines at the ICHA Futurity and Aged Event: a 2007 Riesling and a 2006 Cabernet Malbec Reserve that will be marketed in a joint promotion between Woodriver Cellars Winery and the Idaho Cutting Horse Association. Other wines are expected to be created under the ICHA “Gold Buckle” label brand very soon but the Cab-Malbec and Riesling will debut at the ICHA Futurity and Aged Event next month.
“We are very proud to be a sponsor at the Idaho Cutting Horse Association’s largest event of the year,” Woodriver Cellars Owner and CEO Dave Buich observed. “We are especially proud that the ICHA has asked us to be their winemaking partner in their ‘Gold Buckle’ label wine series. The ICHA is a first rate, high class organization that demands the best of everything. It’s an honor to be working with them and I know that everyone will be very impressed with their wines and their presentation. The Gold Buckle labels are beautiful and the wines are outstanding. We are very happy with our new partners and we know that this is just the beginning. I encourage everyone to come out to the ICHA Event in Nampa to enjoy an outstanding and entertaining show while they enjoy Idaho’s finest wines. I know everyone will be very impressed by the spectacle.”
“We could not have found a better partner to make our wines,” stated Sue Marostica of the ICHA. “Their wines are outstanding and we are very grateful that Woodriver Cellars is around to guide us through our foray into the wine business. Woodriver Cellars’ support of our event means so much to the ICHA and, quite frankly, to the entire Treasure Valley community at large. This event really is a boon to the local economy and we are proud of the contributions of all of our sponsors. Our association with Woodriver Cellars is very exciting not only because of the introduction of the ICHA ‘Gold Buckle’ wines but also because Woodriver Cellars will be hosting a VIP event at the winery where over 100 attendees will get to visit their beautiful grounds. We couldn’t be more excited.”
About Woodriver Cellars
Woodriver Cellars is the best kept secret among Idaho’s fine wineries. Named after the much acclaimed Woodriver Vineyard, which the company purchased in 2008, Woodriver Cellars uses environmentally sustainable practices and has gained a reputation for creating unique, award-winning wines from the best grapes in Idaho. Located at an optimal 2,200 feet elevation at the heart of the Snake River Appellation, the Woodriver Vineyard has a history of producing outstanding grapes. In fact, the vineyard has contributed towards other wineries winning awards for over 15 years. Celebrated winemaker Neil Glancey takes advantage of Woodriver Vineyard’s optimal rocky, Bordeaux-like soil and purposefully limits harvests to two tons per acre to produce memorable wines with intense fruit flavors that stay in the minds of wine lovers long after they have finished a bottle. Based on its limited wine production, Woodriver Cellars award-winning wines are available only at select restaurants, boutique wine shops and the Woodriver Cellars winery. Their wines have won numerous awards at renowned wine tasting competitions, such as the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the West Coast Wine Competition, the Idaho Wine Festival and the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition in New York, to name a few.
