Neil Glancey Neil has been crafting wine for over 15 years. He has experience producing tens of thousands of cases in a season, but really specializes in small batch fermentation. Neil believes in pure wines, no additives or chemicals. This is possible because we prepare our own soil, grow all our own grapes and oversee every part of the process from "ground to glass." The Vineyard Our Woodriver Vineyard is located in the heart of the Snake River Appellation. Thermals from the Snake River, rocky soil and a southern exposure help to bring Bordeaux-like conditions to the twelve varietals growing there. Using sustainable practices and hand-pruning our vines, help to ensure that our grapes are top quality. Additionally, we hand-pick all of the grapes, which is vital to achieving a rich, clean wine. By hand-picking the grapes, we can assure that each grape is ripe and harvest ready. Although machine pickers save time and money, machines can't tell the difference between a ripe grape, a sour grape or a beetle. We're committed to excellence because we are passionate about our wines. We don't cut corners, we cut grapes with our own hands! |
The Barrels There are many different ways to store wine and this plays a significant role in the overall taste of a wine. In order to achieve the richest flavor in our wines, we age all of our varietals in French Oak Barrels and store them in a climate controlled rooms. |
